About myself
Shifting from a legal career to a Gestalt therapist midway through life has been a wonderful and fulfilling transition for me. Experience is an excellent teacher as have being a daughter, mother, wife, and friend, and corporate employee. As a Gestalt therapist, I come to the therapy room without an agenda or guidebook and create a space for the patient to explore his or herself and see what emerges. I have worked this way with patients for five years and during this time I have helped patients work through trauma, child abuse, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, eating disorders, issues surrounding sexual identity and gender identity, adoption related trauma and alienation, alcoholism and drug use, and all sorts of adjustment disorders. I have found that through an empathetic and healing presence I have allowed my patients to overcome the obstacles before them to become happier and more content people who have an easier time adjusting to their environment and finding connection.
